Facts:

 3.5-mill replacement of the original 1979 continuing operating levy. Operating funds have not been requested since passing a 1-mill operating levy in 1990.

 The levy dollars are needed for the continued success of the Warren County Career Center:

o Renovations of the original building constructed in 1974 which requires major infrastructure improvements including fire suppression systems (sprinkler systems in classrooms); upgrades to electrical; HVAC and plumbing.

o Ohio School Facilities Commission evaluated the school and found that more than 50 percent of the building is undersized based on the space requirements for classrooms and career tech labs and current student enrollment. o Safety and security throughout the building and on campus including secure access at all entrance points, improved lighting and security cameras for parking lots, and building wide communications/intercom system for emergencies. o Update lab equipment and instructional materials for career technical programs.

 The 3.5-mill replacement levy will be an increase of $69.83 per year for a home valued at $100,000 which equates to $5.82 per month.  School districts served by Warren County Career Center are: Franklin, Kings, Lebanon, Little Miami, Springboro, and Waynesville.

 Warren County Career Center educates over 6,000 high school and adult students each year for indemand careers critical to our local economy. Warren County delivers programs in 24 career fields such as healthcare, industrial and automotive technologies, skilled trades, and public safety.

 Once again, Warren County Career Center earned all A’s on the 2014 Career Technical report card issued by ODE.

 Warren County Career Center has been a good steward of public dollars and with passage of this levy the Warren County Career Center’s goal is to operate for the next 25 years without asking for additional dollars.
